Are you average?

This is way off topic! I am watching the Today show right now, and this woman is talking about how to save money on cleaning your home. She said the average family uses 12 rolls of paper towels in a week.

SERIOUSLY? TWELVE rolls? AVERAGE? In a WEEK? No way! I don't believe it.

How many rolls of the quicker picker upper does your family use in a week? Really, I want to know!

12 rolls of paper towels a week?!! At first glance I thought maybe you were referring to toilet paper - now that I'd believe, especially when you have kids at home!

But no, I went back and read it again, and yep, you said paper towels.

I buy a big multipack of paper towels at Costco about once a year - usually about 12 rolls in those packs? So try closer to 1 roll a month in this house.

I wonder if she made a mistake when she said that. That's just a crazy amount of paper towels!

I have a friend who never uses dish towels or dish cloths or sponges or anything like that- she uses paper towels for absolutely everything cleaning related (and she does a LOT of cleaning, she's cleaning things every day), and I really doubt even she goes through that many paper towels in a week!

Less than one. I buy the bundle at Costco a couple times a year.
